Uncrate, in addition to offering fashion advice and encouraging you to buy cars you can never afford, has also become the go-to place for purchasing Zombie defense gear.  Their latest submission is the Hornady Zombie Max Ammo, which are:

168 grain, .308 Winchester rounds come 20 to a box, and can fly through the air — and straight at the undead’s noggin — at an impressive 2700 feet per second

Thanks for keeping me ever prepared for the zombie apocalypse!

Constantly worried about the Zombie Apocalypse?  Me too, although I already know where I would spend my last hours, going out in style at Old Town ala Shaun and Ed, but you maybe more focused on, you know, surviving.  Enter Map of the Dead, your go to source for Zombie preparation.  Red areas denote high population centers where you are most likely to encounter walkers, where darker areas are mainly parks and wilderness which could present zombie free safe havens.  Also included are tactical locations, such as hospitals, gun shops, and of course bars.
For those of you who believe that Zombies will not bring the end to mankind but put your faith in more realistic disasters, Wired points out that there are practical uses as well:

“with the Doejo maps, you can better plan for the coming zombie apocalypse, and even other natural disasters. At Gadget Lab, we scanned not only our local San Francisco environs, but also Chicago and New York City to determine safe zones should the worst come to pass.”

So should you be concerned with earthquakes, hurricanes, asteroids, floods, random uprisings, or any other disaster, natural or otherwise, Map of the Dead is a fun and useful tool to aid in your survival.

Are you worried about the Zombie Apocalypse?  I know I sure am.  Have a little extra dough hanging around this holiday season?  I know I sure do (I am the 1%).  Are you a fan of limited edition items and machetes?  I know I sure am.  Then the Gerber limited edition Apocalypse kit is for your.  Featuring many pointy and blady “tools” for survival, it has 3 machetes (!) including the previously posted Gator Machete pro, it is the perfect gift for your paranoid loved one.  There is a limited stock of 200, and the price point is $349, a bargain in my opinion.

I was halfway through a post about how this could be the perfect Zombie fighting weapon, it is one part ax, one part machette, one part knife, and a dozen parts bad ass, but as I continued to read I discovered that it already has made a cameo in The Walking Dead… I havent seen the season premire yet so no spoilers.  When we start making tools and weapons with the Zombie Apocalypse in mind, is that not a sign of an impending Zombie Apocalypse?
From Uncrate:

“Here’s yet another essential to add to your zombiepocalypse toolbox. The Gerber Gator Machete Pro ($55) was designed with zombie killin’ in mind — you can see it in use on The Walking Dead — and as such features a multi-purpose blade that can be used as an axe, machete, or knife, a grippy rubberized handle, a military nylon sheath, and an included sharpening stone to keep it ready for action when you’re on the move. Oh, and you can also use it for clearing brush, chopping through branches, and other more mundane tasks.”
