Skyrim DLC’s finally make their way to PS3… PROOF!
The day I NEVER THOUGHT WOULD COME is finally here, as Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC was released last night for PS3 owners… for real… I downloaded it and everything… its not a trick…see! (sorry for the crappy shot of my TV).  I reported a few weeks ago that Bethesda would be gracing the maligned console users with the Skyrim DLC’s through the month of February, at a discounted price no less.  Dragonborn came out last night, Hearthfire will drop next week, and then Dawnguard the last week of February.
Oh Sony fatihful, this is a day we will soon not forget!  Dragonborn is out now in the Playstation Store for a discounted $9.99 this week only, after that it will be $19.99.

Hey There is a New Playstation…3?!?!
The above GIF demonstrates Sony’s new disc bay, pretty snazzy right.  Sony was apparently so impressed with this innovation, that they built a brand new Playstation model around it.  What is so new you ask?  Well, there is that loading tray for one, and then well there is the new body shape, bigger hard drive, and then… well there is… uhhhh, thats about it.  This new “Playstation Slim” replaces the old slim, and comes in at roughly 20 more bones.  For $270 you get the new PS3 bundled with Drakes Uncharted 3 and Dust 514, a first person MMO.
So, whats there to be so excited about?  Is sony just rebooting its 7 year old console for the hell of it?  I know I just made fun of this, but it could be a very smart, calculated move by the heads over at Sony.  Remember when the Wii came out, it undercut the PS3 and Xbox price wise to massive success.  With the Wii U about to drop at a price of $300, a newly refreshed PS3 with 2 games for $30 less may be very tempting for first time console shoppers come the holiday season.
Beyond that, there is there is the interesting decision to include a MMO as a free game.  PS3 has always wanted to be cross platform, getting PC and console gamers to play nice together, see how the treated Valve’s Portal 2 for example.  This MMO addition, and the proposed 500 GB version set to come out later this year, could mean more cross platform and online gaming.  Besides the Portal franchise, what else does Valve do?  Steam anybody?  Can you imagine the PS3 having access to steam’s massive archive?! This is pure speculation at this point, but a man can dream right?
