Dwayne “Rock” Johnson is the New Green Lantern?
Take this with a massive pinch of salt, but new rumors reported by Comic Book Movie (image credit)  and re-reported by Machinima, follow that the Rock would be suiting up as a member of the Corp for the upcoming Superman V Batman movie.
Johnson had been tied to the flick for some time, and the internet has been chasing its tail trying to figure out who we would play.  I have heard Aquaman, Darkseid, Doomsday, Lobo, Black Adam and Cyborg.  A few months ago the Rock posted the below image on Instagram with the text

“Known this beast since he was 15. I was on the football field playing for Miami, he was leading the Hurricanes marching band as Drum Major. He spent years of working on my WWE story lines & Rock monologues. Then years of being on every movie set with me learning the film business from top to bottom. Today, he’s one of the best and most sought after producers in Hollywood. Brilliant, relentless and one big motherf*cker! Proud of you brother & thank you for all the hard work.#ProducerHiram #TeamRock#JohnStewartCanStillWhupSupermansAss”

Note the hashtag “#JohnStewartCanStillWhupSupermansAss”.  Apparently, no one picked up on this in force until IGN posed the question to the People’s Champ on twitter

All I said was.. #LanternCanWhupSuperman RT: @IGN: Did @TheRock reveal that he’s playing John Stewart/Green Lantern? http://t.co/J1ZIi433UX

The rock seems seems to dismiss the jabronies over at IGN, but as the Comic Book Movie article points out, the Rock has made similar statements about his physical prowess over his co-stars in other movies, like Vin Desiel in Fast and the Furious and to Channing Tatum in GI Joe: Retaliation.  Could this be Johnson poking Superman star Henry Cavill?
Its rare that I say someone is just to muscular to play a superhero, but I think Rock is just to damn big John Stewart.  What about you, could you see the Rock as the Green Lantern?

Star Wars Rumors:  Stand Alone Boba Fett and Young Han Movies!
If you have not heard Disney has big plans for its new toys.  In addition to Episode VII, due out in 2015, Disney has announced that they will be producing stand alone movies featuring some of the franchises biggest names.  Initially it was thought that a Yoda movie would be the obvious choice, but Entertainment Weekly revealed that a Young Han and Boba Fett would be the subjects of their own spin off films, with the Young Han being set between Revenge of the Sith and a New Hope, and Fett taking place between New Hope and Jedi.  These are exciting/terrifying times we live.

New Iron Man 3 Poster and Super Bowl TeaserNew poster from Iron Man 3, a movie about the fall of Tony Stark… shows Tony Stark falling. From everything I have read about this movie, it seems as if its Tony’s struggle with himself after the events of the Avengers, and the Mandarin taking advantage of that, proving that Tony is just a man. Marvel Studio’s president Kevin Fegi digs into this idea:

"So much of the journey of ‘Iron Man 3’ is informed by Tony’s experiences in ‘The Avengers. It’s almost like post-traumatic stress: he really has retreated after the events of ‘The Avengers’ into his workshop, where he’s building advanced versions of his suits. He has [designed] a version of the suit that can latch onto him in individual pieces … anytime, anywhere. As he starts to realize, it’s basically because he doesn’t want to be out of the suit: he’s seen a lot of things in ‘Avengers’ and has encountered a lot of powerful people, much more powerful than he is."It brings us back to the Tony we met in the first part of ‘Iron Man’ where he’s removed from that convoy and brought to the cave with nothing but a box of scraps. It’s fun for all of us to watch Tony try to figure out how to get out of that scenario. Much of the movie is Tony in the middle of the country without his tools and a fairly broken suit to help him. But that’s his superpower: he wasn’t born on Asgard, he wasn’t hit by gamma rays, and he doesn’t have the super soldier serum. His power is his brain. It’s fun to put Tony Stark in a corner with nothing and see how he can get out of it."

In addition to the new poster, a Super Bowl Teaser recently leaked.  Nothing super new here, nice shot of the new Mach VIII(?) armor with massive battle damage, but I think this is the first shot we have seen of Rhodey in the Iron Patriot armor.

Iron Man 3 is set for a May 3, 2013 release date.
