Things I do not need: Spy Hawk
I have always wanted one of the cool quad copters, or model airplanes with a camera built in or installed, simply because I always wanted to fly as kid, and I feel like this is as close as you can get will still having two feet on the ground. Most of the sensory input, none the effort/danger. Yet, I think there is a fine line here between cool and creepy. Using your $400 Spy Hawk Glider to get a better view of your city, home, or landmark - Cool. Using your camera equipped flying device to get a better view of Mrs. Davis during bikini season - Creepy.
Per Uncrate:
This unique RC glider sports a built-in 5 megapixel camera that streams a live video feed back to the 3.5” LCD on the controller, which also holds an SD card for recording your flights. Of course, all of that isn’t much good if you can’t keep the thing in the air, which is where the intelligent autopilot comes in — fly it up to the required height, switch it one, and a built-in gyroscope will work to keep it level, even in gusty winds.
