I briefly heard, this past January, of a movie at Sundance about an old guy and his robot on one of my nerd blogs.  I read it, thought “thats dumb”, opened another bag of  cheetos and continued to play Skyrim… because thats pretty much all I did in January.

Now, that same movie about an old man and his bionic companion called Robot and Frank is set to be released to theaters nationwide on August 24th.  After seeing this trailer, how could you not want to go and see this?  See the official synopsis below from Yahoo:

“Set in the near future, Frank, a retired cat burglar, has two grown kids who are concerned he can no longer live alone. They are tempted to place him in a nursing home until Frank’s son chooses a different option: against the old man’s wishes, he buys Frank a walking, talking humanoid robot programmed to improve his physical and mental health.”
